Helen Christou Art Gallery

  • This space is named in honour of Helen Christou, who the wife of Dr. Van Christou, one of the universities founding Board of Governors and the third Chancellor of the school. She passed away at the time of the construction of the space.
  • Along with her husband, Helen Van Christou played an integral part in the early years of the U of L, hosting a number of organizational parties during the development period of the school.
  • Designed to exhibit smaller framed works and objects in cases.
  • This space is one of the highest traffic areas of the school, connecting passer-bys with U of L Art Gallery programs.
  • Exhibitions in this space can be an extension from the Main Gallery or stand alone works from artists.
  • Regularly used for students to curate projects and first time exhibitions.
