We are now into the final countdown to the 2026 Bounce & Cadence Symposium for Music and Audio Research. Full steam ahead!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

28 March, starting at 9AM, University Recital Hall<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We have grown to over 30 participants \u2013 including 2 recipients of the Joyce & Ron Sakamoto Prize for Research & Development in Digital Audio Arts<\/em>, and a keynote presentation by Dr. Georg Boenn<\/a> (1:30PM). We are also offering tastes of new sound and music from Electronic and Popular Music<\/em> (12:35PM) and Aesthetic Noise <\/em>(4PM). Try your hand at an isometric roguelike featuring new sound design and music from Nonlinear Music and Audio for Games<\/em> (in the lobby). Finally, in collaboration with the Event Horizon Composer’s Collective<\/em>, Bounce & Cadence hosts the annual student composers concert, starting at 7:30PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join the workshop in W518 at 2:30PM: Beat Making with Onset and Pitch Detection<\/strong>. Analyse a selection of EDM tracks, remaking and re-arranging them. Hosted by Dr. Georg Boenn.

Pair up with a colleague and try an Auditory Illusions Experiment<\/strong> in Studio 2 at 12:35 with student researcher Seth Villamil.
