Setting up a standard assignment relies on the Select Content<\/strong> deep-linking workflow, which bridges Moodle directly with Turnitin Feedback Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step-by-Step Setup:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Enable Editing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Go to your Moodle course homepage and toggle Edit mode<\/strong> on (located in the top right corner).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Locate the specific topic, section, or week where you want the Turnitin assignment to appear and click Add an activity or resource<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Choose Turnitin<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      In the activity chooser, choose the Turnitin <\/strong>activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Select Content<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      In the settings menu that appears, click the Select content<\/strong> button. This opens the Turnitin setup window via deep linking. (Note: If this is your first time using the integration, you may be prompted to accept an End User License Agreement). <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Configure Assignment Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Configure your core assignment details within the Turnitin window<\/em> or the External Tool tab<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Enter the Assignment Title<\/strong> and Instructions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Set your Start Date<\/strong>, Due Date<\/strong>, and Feedback Release Date<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        5. Similarity Reports and Repositories<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        In the Report settings area define your similairity report and repository choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Decide if you will allow student to view the Similarity Report after the due date or at the time of submission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Choose Standard Paper Repository<\/strong> for final papers. Or choose Do not store submitted papers<\/strong> if students are submitting drafts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          1. Click Submit<\/strong> at the bottom of the Turnitin window to save these configurations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. The Turnitin window will close, and the Tool URL and Activity Name fields will automatically populate back into Moodle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Scroll to the bottom of the Moodle settings page and click Save and return to course<\/strong> to complete the deployment. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
