Use lower-case letters and apostrophes when:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jane Doe received a bachelor\u2019s degree in 1979.<\/li>\n<li>John Doe is a master\u2019s student.<\/li>\n<li>They are all master\u2019s students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>1B. Use upper-case when referring to proper name of program or degree:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He is the Master of Education program<\/li>\n<li>She receive a Bachelor of Management in 2001<\/li>\n<li>Note: \u201cBachelor of Management degree\u201d is redundant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Don\u2019t use periods in abbreviated degrees<br \/>\n<em>Example: BA, BSc, MSc, PhD<\/em><\/p>\n<p>3. Use the correct article when combining it with a degree in a sentence<br \/>\n<em>Example: She received an MSc in management<\/em><\/p>\n<p>4. Individuals with PhDs are referred to as Dr. (First name) (Last name) in first reference.<\/p>\n<p>5. When referencing uLethbridge alumni, please include their degree information following their name<br \/>\n<em>Example: Dr. Robbin Gibb (BASc (BSc) &#8217;77, MSc &#8217;01, PhD &#8217;04)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>6. We only reference degrees from the U of L in name titles, not degrees granted from other institutions.<br \/>\n<em>Example: Dr. John Doe (BSc \u201906)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Degrees 1A.
