My teaching emphasizes appreciation for animal diversity, critical thinking, experimental design, and the development of scientific reasoning skills. Students are encouraged not only to learn established knowledge, but also to evaluate evidence, challenge assumptions, and develop their own questions about the natural world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Many of my courses draw on examples from social insects, pollination biology, and the evolution of animal societies.
