Dialect Accent Specialists, Inc. is run by Dr. David Alan Stern, one of North America’s most well known dialect specialists. Dr. Stern has developed a series of dialect training materials that are available for purchase on this website. The bookwork and tonal placement exercises in his material are exceptional.

The Dialect Resource website contains the work of Gillian Lane-Plescia, another well known Dialect specialist. Her training CDs are highly regarded by many voice trainers because she uses primary samples to demonstrate sound substitutions and speech patterns.

Paul Meier Dialect Services offers a number of dialect services in various formats. Paul Meier is best known for establishing the IDEA (International Dialects of English Archive) website.

The website above contains an article written by Shelagh Davies  and Joshua Mira Goldberg. Shelagh Davies is a Speech and Language Pathologists who specializes in voice feminization and Joshua Mira Goldberg is coordinator for the Transgender Health Program at Vancouver Coastal Health. Joshua went through transition in 1996. The information in this article is up to date and trustworthy. It is a must read for anyone seeking help with vocal transition.
