Indigenous Territory Statement

Welcome to our journal hosted by the University of Lethbridge.  We acknowledge that Iniskim, the University of Lethbridge, is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory within the Treaty 7 region. We honour the Aboriginal peoples of this land who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community. As teachers, researchers and writers, we recognize that language is an element of cultural hegemony and also of resistance. We commit to raising awareness of the role languages play in colonization and decolonization and respectfully acknowledge the Indigenous languages of this area.
