Education:
B.Sc (Hons) in Neuroscience (University of Lethbridge, 2016)

Research Interests:
Jyote is part of the Metabolomics Research Group at the University of Lethbridge. His interests include metabolomics analysis of transgenerational stress in human cohorts due to natural disasters(including the 1998 Quebec Icestorm and the 2011 Queensland Flood) and their corresponding biomarkers as identified by 1H-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy. He has also completed metabolomics research on biomarkers related to sport-induced concussion in adolescent athletes as part of the Integrated Concussion Research Program at the University of Calgary.

Furthermore, he is interested in applying metabolomics analysis to the study of human spaceflight and investigating the metabolomes of astronaut flight crews in the interest of countermeasure development and enhanced astronaut health for future space missions. He is currently spearheading a collaboration between the Canadian Space Agency, NASA, and the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) to investigate these areas of interest.
