The scientific method will be discussed under five main topic headings. The first, What is Science?, introduces the basic approach scientists take to solving problems. The second, Reason & Logic, outlines some elements of critical thinking which are important to a scientific approach. The last three topics provide tools for developing a sound hypothesis, designing a study to test a hypothesis, and analyzing data collected in a study.
